Bird LA Day

Saturday, May 12th

From the Bird LA Day website (http://birdladay.org/):

“Held every May, Bird LA Day celebrates the birds of Southern California and LA’s amazing biodiversity. Bird and nature-themed events are held throughout the greater Los Angeles area. Bird LA Day shines the spotlight on nature, and reminds the world that Los Angeles is a lot more than just film, fashion and celebrities. The majority of events are family-friendly and free-of-charge.

Bird LA Day is fast becoming a wonderful tradition throughout greater Los Angeles. Events run the spectrum from bird walks to photography classes to lectures to bar meet-ups and everything in between. From Debs Park in downtown LA to The G2 Gallery in Venice; from the Natural History Museum to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach and many other locations – there are events for every level of birder, from the uninitiated to the expert.”

Pasadena Audubon Society will be joining the fun with two free events:

Saturday, May 12th, 8 :00 AM
Bird Walk at the Los Angeles Arboretum and Botanical Gardens

This is our monthly bird walk at the LA Arboretum with a special Bird LA Day twist: everyone can go for free! This easy walk is for birders of all ages and experience levels. Meet on the steps leading to the entrance of the Arboretum.
