Trip Leader: LukeTiller
August is a great time to look for migrant and wintering shorebirds. This trip will include birding locations on the Orange County/Los Angeles County border. We will seek out different habitats in search of shorebirds that use specific habitats: from rocky shorelines, sandy beaches, and mudflats. Highlight will be a stop at one of the crown jewels of Southern California birding: Bolsa Chica. As well as a myriad of shorebird species we will also keep our eyes open for interesting denizens of coastal sites like terns, rails and more.
