Sunday, October 6, 2024, 7:15 AM to 10:00 AM (+ optional extension)
Trip leader: Darren Dowell, Oliver Huang
Languages available: English, Mandarin
This trip will focus on warblers, sparrows, and other songbirds that are in the middle of their southbound journey or are settling in for the winter. The first part of the walk will cover some of the more familiar park areas with oak woodland adjacent to riparian habitat, covering about 2 miles round trip on mostly flat terrain. An optional extension will cover some of the less manicured parts of the Hahamongna basin, providing more habitat types to search, and adding about 1 mile (including some more difficult terrain) to the trip.
Participant limit: No limit.
Trip details such as meeting location will be emailed to signed-up participants 3-5 days before the trip.
