With Halloween approaching and a full moon overhead, what better time to join Omar Alui and Jodhan Fine for a spooky twilight hike up Prieto Canyon. Common Poorwills, Great Horned Owls, and Western Screech-Owls should be providing plenty of atmospheric sounds and may even make an appearance! Wear appropriate shoes and be prepared to hike about one mile to the lookout spot. The gradient is mostly moderate but has steep portions with loose gravel at the beginning and the end, so trekking poles may also come in handy.
