Planned Giving

Create a legacy that supports birds, kids and the environment by including Pasadena Audubon Society as a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement or insurance plan. Including Pasadena Audubon Society as a beneficiary of your estate is one of the most meaningful and generous gifts you can make.

Wills: There are different ways to name Pasadena Audubon Society in your will. Your attorney may wish to use the following language.

A residuary bequest. You can give all or part of the property remaining in your estate after debts, expenses and specific bequests are paid. Such provisions can be made as follows:

“I give, bequeath, and devise (all, or ___ percent of) the rest, residue, and remainder of the property, both real and personal, wherever situated, which I may own or be entitled to at my death, to Pasadena Audubon Society now or formally in Pasadena, c/o Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 1750 North Altadena Drive, in the state of California, to be used for its general purposes.”

A specific bequest. You can establish a bequest of a particular dollar amount or asset with the following provision:

“I give, bequeath, and devise (dollar amount or description of gift) to Pasadena Audubon Society now or formally in Pasadena, c/o Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 1750 North Altadena Drive, in the state of California, to be used for its general purposes.”
